We reduce energy consumption
Compared to other building materials, the production of expanded polystyrene is less energy-intensive, but we can further reduce its consumption. During the first stage, we replaced the discharge lighting of the halls with LED lamps and the existing electric drives with more efficient IE2 and IE3 class motors. At the same time, we added a water vapor energy recuperator to the technological line, the preparation of which contributes the most to energy consumption. Thanks to this, we also reduced the consumption of water and chemicals necessary for its treatment. As part of the second stage, we installed a photovoltaic power plant on the roof of the hall. We use virtually all of the electricity produced directly in production and to charge handling equipment. The measures are co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund in the form of the Energy Savings subsidy program.
